notice: web hosting issues
If your website is down please update the nameservers within your domain name's control panel. This is a simple process and will take no more than 5 minutes.
Step 1
Go to the website where you registered your domain name (for example www.melbourneit.com.au or www.netregistry.com.au). You should have a record of who the domain is registered with from when you purchased it.
Login to their control panel using the details you provided when you purchased the domain. If you have forgotten your username or password you can try the "forgot password" link or give the company a call.
Step 2
You need to change the nameservers. Usually it is very obvious and there will be a link saying "Manage Domain" or "Nameservers" or "DNS" etc.
The current nameservers will be set to ns1-icarus.webserversystems.com and ns2-icarus.webserversystems.com. These need to be updated so that your site is pointed to the new server.
The new details are:
DNS Server 1: ns1-lucerne.webserversystems.com
DNS Server 2: ns2-lucerne.webserversystems.com
Step 3
Once you have updated the nameservers to the new details above you will need to wait around 4-12 hours for the site to go live again. In some cases sites are live again within an hour but sometimes it can take up to a day. Your emails will return once the new site is live, and you should not lose any that have been sent in the interim.

Technical Information (Advanced users)
For more technical users, here are the details of the new server and the notice we were sent by Site5.
We will be moving your accounts to brand new servers at our primary data center. We will do everything we can to make this migration 100% problem free; I will go into the process and how it will work later in this email.
First, though, an explanation of why we are doing this. This move will put you on brand new hardware that is much more powerful than your current servers. The new servers will have dual quad core processors, RAID 10 drives that are built for a server environment, 8GB memory, and plenty of disk space. The move to the new data center will allow us to put your server on our brand new backup system, faster connectivity to the rest of the world, and give us the ability to offer you more unique features in the future. I promise that you will notice the better performance of these servers...
The only downside to this method is that until the DNS change propagates throughout the entire Internet, some visitors might hit old websites on the old server. Due to propagation, if you have dynamic content, updates may impact the old database and not the database on the new server. It usually takes 1 to 3 hours for this DNS change to take effect; however, small ISPs or international ISPs can take up to 24 hours. Therefore, during that period if someone adds a blog comment or forum post on the old server that data will not show up on the migrated site...
Resellers will receive another notification once their account is fully migrated to the new server.
This process migrates every cPanel setting, every file, every database, so you have nothing to worry about in that regard. In addition, the old servers will remain online for fourteen days after migration is finished as well as offsite backups of those servers.
The only thing you will need to do as a reseller is update your custom DNS servers to the new IP addresses; we are going to give you plenty of time to do that. Also, if your clients are using external DNS servers or our generic nameservers, they will not have to do anything more than change their domain's nameservers to the new ones or to the new IP address.
